New California radio show aims to keep wildland community informed

The Wildland Residents Association, Inc., San Marcos Pass (CA) Volunteer Fire Department, in collaboration with the Santa Barbara County Fire Safe Council, is pleased to announce the radio show Community Alert. The show airs on KZSB-AM 1290, Tuesdays at 11:00 am and again at 9 pm, as well as Saturdays at 1 pm. Community Alert is a one hour talk show format with Ted Adams from the Fire Safe Council and Mike Williams from the Wildland Residents Association. The program can also be heard via the Internet at www.newspress.com .

Community Alert is a forum for collaboration among governmental and non-governmental agencies, the private and public sectors, as well as the media for developing and improving public awareness for prevention, planning and preparedness for and during major events, emergencies, and disasters. The Wildland Residents Association, Inc., and the Santa Barbara County Fire Safe Council are non-profit, tax exempt California Corporations. Community Alert is supported by generous donations and grants.
